Adobe Illustrator: Lesson 3

This is about drawing tools, also something I remember a lot about from technical school. Voice Lady is gonna start with the pen tool &… wait a minute WTF? All she’s doing is clicking on the numbers to create a path!

Now she’s doing the same thing but with no filter while holding down the shift key. We weren’t able to do this in technical school WTF!

Now she about to do curves. You gotta deactivate your path by just holding the command key & clicking anywhere. To do this you, just simply drag up & down.

You can also change the direction by clicking & dragging the green.

I’m already familiar with the rest. YAY!

Review: Things to Remember

  1. To create the 1st point for a straight line, you must click & release the Pen tool. When creating a curved line, you should click & drag the Pen tool in the direction of the curve you want to create.
  2. Use File > Place command & check the Template option in the Place dialog box. While the Template option isn’t required, it’s helpful for tracing scanned artwork.
  3. You can hold down the Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) to remove one shape form another using the Shape Builder tool.
